If you stop by the Online Microsoft Store looking to purchase one of the i7 Surface Book models, you’re going to be disappointed.
Despite concerns that they are too expensive, both of the i7 Surface Books are out of stock on the US Microsoft Website. When you try to order one, you’ll get an Email me when available button instead of the Pre-Order now button.
i7 Surface Books are Out of Stock in the US: Now What?
If you were interested in the i5/8GB version with dGPU instead. Not only would you save a little cash but you will not be losing that much performance. There is only about a 14% difference in processing power between the Haswell versions of the i5 and i7 processors.
That said, if you really want an i7 Surface book and you don’t want to wait until they’re back in stock, you can still pre-order them on the Best Buy website: HERE
You might want to hurry, though. Who knows how long Best Buy will have them available?
