Question: When is the planned Surface Pro 4 release date?
Answer: Only Microsoft knows and, so far, they aren’t saying.
OK, now that we have that out of the way, I wanted to rant a little bit about the plentiful Surface Pro 4 release date (and technical specification) rumors circulating on the internet right now.
Frankly, I’m getting tired of one (usually off topic) website quoting another, which quotes another, which quotes another, which ends up quoting a different post on the first website which claims to have information from some unknown informant.
It reminds me so much of cable-news reporters interviewing other reporters when something bad happens. None of them have any real information to share but they need to generate the next media scare just to keep you tuned into their repeating 30-minute loop of no-new-information 24/7.
Yes, I know I’ve occasionally done rumor posts (I’m not totally irony-impaired). However I really do try to make sure you understand that it’s just rumor, not leaked information and I certainly don’t try to pass it off as fact when it’s just my opinion.
OK, now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, I wanted to enlist your help as rational and even-headed individuals.
You see, instead of “interviewing” another reporter, this time, I’m going to interview you in my own version of the “person on the street” interview (which I have a whole different rant about but let’s save that for another day).
I want to get your opinions about when you think the Surface Pro 4 will be released and what it will look like when it arrives.
