MetroRadio App Review:
Recently, I heard someone complaining about the lack of Pandora Radio app for the Surface 2. I am so tired of people saying that the Surface doesn’t have any apps. It is simply not true. If you are a huge Pandora fan, there is at least one player that will play Pandora music for you – MetroRadio.
I use it all the time with my Pandora account. I just don’t understand what the big deal is, I think many folks simply don’t know that many apps in Windows Apps Store are simply written by third parties and have different names.
OK, off my soap box and here is the review of MetroRadio:
- Name: MetroRadio
- Runs on: Surface RT, Surface 2 (and LTE), Surface Pro, Surface Pro 2
- Find it: Windows Store
- Cost: $Free
MetroRadio App Review: Overview and Features
This is a third party app for the Pandora streaming service. The app was originally designed to work on the Windows 8 Phones but it turns out it works well on other Windows devices as well. MetroRadio was created by the young Mustafa Taleb and is the number one Pandora app for Windows RT devices.
When you log in with your Pandora account, you will have access to the following:
- Use of existing Pandora account
- Play/Pause/Stop
- Add station
- Skip
- Like/Dislike/Ban
- Pin to Start
MetroRadio App Review: Overall Rating
Overall, I like this app. It is simple and easy to use. It retains your Pandora playlists and likes. It is missing the “buy” and “share” options of Pandora but to me that makes very little difference. I recommend this application and give it four (4) smilies out of five.
