If you don’t happen to know if your school qualifies you to take advantage of this deal, you can go over to the Office in Education page and click on the Find out if you’re eligible button.
You’ll need to put in your school email address (with the .edu at the end) and, if you’re qualified, you’ll get an email at that address that looks a lot like the one below.
When you follow the link in the email, you will be asked to set up a name and password for your new Office 365 account.
If your school doesn’t qualify you to get Office 365 free as part of this deal, you’ll get a sorry message right away. (At least you don’t have to jump through a lot of hoops to find out).
So, I know that this offer isn’t specific to Surface owners but if you happen to be a student and a Surface owner, this is something you will definatly want to take advantage of since it really gives you an academic edge to have such a powerful tablet and the tools you need to succeed.
