Surface News Roundup – 3/27/15: Second Firmware Release for March 2015

Microsoft pushed out a firmware update for the Surface Pro 3 on March 24th. This was in addition to the normal monthly patch Tuesday updates that happened on March 10th.

This additional firmware seems to add new support for the UEFI component and allows for a few bits of enhanced functionality for (mostly) enterprise customers.

Surface New Roundup – 3/27/15: A New Surface Tablet?

As we reported yesterday (3/26) Microsoft seems to be planning a successor to the lower-end Surface 2 to compete directly against the iPad. This tablet, if the rumors are accurate, could be announced as early as the end of April/beginning of May at the Build 2015 conference.
