Surface 2 Accessory Pricing
All, we have some information about the new Surface 2 accessories (including pricing). Most of these, with the exception of the docking station and car charger, will be available for pre-order tomorrow (September 24, 2013) with the Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro. (Picture Credits to Microsoft)
Touch Cover 2: $119 – Microsoft claims “Thinner and lighter than the original Touch Cover, measuring only 2.75 mm thin, Touch Cover 2 features backlit keys for even better readability. Touch Cover 2 is more rigid, registers keystrokes with greater accuracy and features updated sensors that support a variety of gestures across the entire keyboard.”

Type Cover 2: $129.99 – Type Cover 2 will be a full millimeter thinner than the original type-cover and it’s now backlit. It will be available in Cyan, Magenta, Purple and Black in the coming months. Microsoft says that because it’s more rigid, it will provide a better lap-typing experience. They also say it is designed to be quieter.

Car Charger with USB: $49.99 – OMG!!! In know I need one of these. According to Microsoft “(The Surface 2) Car Charger plugs into most cars’ power or lighter ports and charges Surface without the need for an additional adapter.
