Microsoft Makes New Surface 3 Available For Pre-order:
Guess who joined the Microsoft Surface family?
Yep, you got it; a new, “smaller” Surface 3 is available for pre-order!!! Not as small as the Surface 2 but smaller than Surface Pro 3. With no forewarning or any major announcements, Microsoft released this new Surface for pre-orders to the online Microsoft Store today. Then, there was an announcement that followed on their blog.

In addition, the new Surface 3 comes with a three-position kickstand and, although sold separately, you can choose from four different colors of the Surface Pen: blue, black, red, and the original silver.
A new Surface 3 Type cover is also available in the same colors as the Surface Pen, plus a bright blue and a bright red option.
Boy, Microsoft slid this one past everybody, didn’t they?!
Nonetheless, this is exciting news. We’ve all been waiting for an announcement from Microsoft to see where they take the Surface tablet line. Now we’re getting the first glance.
With the Surface 3 available for pre-order, this means that there will be at least one other Pro version (Surface 4?) but, I suspect, because of the Surface 3 “middle” size, that we are also going to see a “Surface Mini”…
